You can help bring light to dark places! The River and Thrivent are looking to tackle issues facing our community.

Join us at 5:00 pm for the booth fair with local organizations serving in this space and a special service project for survivors of human trafficking. Then experience the powerful documentary “Surviving Sex Trafficking” BBC News and a panel discussion from five leading experts in the field. The night concludes with a workshop presented by Thrivent on maximizing your support of organizations doing work you’re passionate about.

About the documentary filmed by BBC News: Sex trafficking is one of the most misunderstood criminal enterprises in the US. In popular belief; women are forced across borders and held against their will. But a new picture shows eight in ten victims are US citizens. Many are enslaved through drugs and like old-world slavery, are branded as property. Often confused as valid sex workers, Columbus, Ohio is helping to free victims and transform their marks of “ownership”. Reporter: Elaine Jung.
