You know them, you love them, and they make not just your community but the world a better place. The “not just” is a little confusing, maybe go with something like, “You know them, you love them, and they’re making both your community and the world a better place.” Everyday heroes often go unseen, but to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday, The River, The Flag Lady, Hartley’s Auto, and Sundae’s Ice Cream want to give your Hometown Heroes a very special shout out!
• Here’s how it works:
o Fill out the form below to nominate your Hometown Hero. Tell everyone how they show others who Jesus really is and make your community a better place. List some of their favorite things, and suggest people The River should contact to help celebrate them with special messages.
o If your Hero is chosen, someone from The River will give you a call to schedule a time to surprise your hero with a gift basket including all their favorite things, a gift from The Flag Lady (did you know all the flags are made right here in Columbus?!) and special notes, or videos from their loved ones telling them how loved they are!
o To celebrate America’s 250th, The River will share the Hometown Heroes online so the whole River Fam can hear how your hero’s life is a testimony and makes their community a special place in America.
o Cue the waterworks & the fireworks!
