Prayer is powerful. No matter what you are going through in life, know that you’re not alone. At The River, we want to walk beside you in your life circumstances. The Prayer Page is a powerful tool to share struggles, trials, or burdens and know that others are praying for you. If you have a prayer answered, please post again as a praise so we can give God all the glory.

I prayed for this

Prayed for 12 times.

Mary McLaughlin

I want to request prayers for my husband Ken, who is taking care of his elderly parents for nearly 3 years. No one is working. We do need a job; someone body does. However, my prayer request is first finding a male care giver besides Ken to give him a break from taking care of his dad. That would be the most helpful thing. My heart is burdened that when his dad passes away the grief he will go through is goanna be so hard and he may get so very depressed and feel so guilty. The stress of a care giver that gets no breaks is really rough, hard and draining. My mother-in-law hurt her rotator cuff, so my daughters do help. However, my father-in-law broke his leg and did not do the pt he so desperately needed to do. So now he can't walk or stand, and Ken is the one he relies on to sit him on the toilet and help him. He won't let a female do that job. Requested prayers for this kind of stuff before. Just really needed the prayers for when Ken loses his parents (or parent). I feel it is going to really depress him so badly. The loss is coming sooner or later. And I have lost loved ones - my dad already. So, I know it's so hard and feel sad he will go through that. And want to pray for strength way ahead of time and comfort. Way ahead of time...grief is so so hard. Thank you a head of time.
