Sometimes it’s the little things that can make your kid’s day. School is easy for some and tough for others, but either way, why not make them smile with an LOL Emoji lunch when they open their lunchbox?
My mom was the best at making my lunch special. Her thing was awesome napkins. I know, that sounds crazy, but it worked. Not only would she pack my favorite things, but she’d also include a pretty napkin, maybe one with my favorite Disney princess, or just a pretty one with flowers. I had a rough time in 1st and 2nd grade making friends, and on the days when it was the worst, those little moments when I was reminded that someone loved me made all the difference in the world.
As your kids go back to school, lunch may just seem like another to-do to check off the list, and with busy schedules, sometimes it will be. But why not take a day out of the week and do something to remind them that, even though you may seem far away while they’re at school, you’re rooting for them and loving them.
