The weather is finally starting to feel like Fall, and as you know, nothing says Fall like a Pumpkin Spice Latte. As delicious as those tasty Lattes are, they can get a bit pricey. With Christmas around the corner, we wanted to help you save some money this fall by making your own Pumpkin Spice Latte Syrup.
Be sure to watch the video below to see how ours turned out!
Pumpkin Spice Latte Syrup
Ingredients
1 cup Water
½ cup Brown Sugar
One-15 oz. can of pumpkin
2-3 Tablespoons of Pumpkin Pie Spice
Directions
1. Combine water and brown sugar in saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until brown sugar dissolves, creating a simple syrup.
2. Add pumpkin and pumpkin pie spice to mixture and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
3. Let cool, then strain mixture through cheese cloth or metal strainer.
4. Pour into Mason jar or bottle to store.
*If you prefer your latte to be sweeter you can add up to 1 cup of brown sugar.
For a 12 oz. latte, add 2 shots of espresso or 6 oz. of strong coffee, 3 tablespoons of pumpkin spice syrup, and steamed milk to fill.
Makes approximately 10 oz. of syrup or enough to make about 7 lattes.
