Seeking
It can be hard to figure out a thing if you’re completely new to that thing. Think… college, dating, cooking. If you’ve never done any of those things before, you probably will fall flat on your face as you work out the finer details.
A man named Nick took to social media, the platform X, formerly Twitter, and said, “I think I need God in my life, but I have no idea how to do that, especially as someone that’s naturally skeptical of literally everything. Does anyone have any tips?”
And my friend, there is hope! Not just because Jesus is so very good, but also because the internet did not disappoint in helping to direct Nick to God. So many pointed out reading the Bible is a great place to start, and they added amazing experiences they’ve had because of what they have read, opening up the pages of God’s Word.
But more specifically, these tips really touched MY heart, and Nick’s, too:
- Spencer – “Find a friend to go to church with.”
- Parker – “There are no professional followers of God. That’s the beauty of seeking and following Him. Anyone can ask, seek, and knock at the door. Start small. Read the book of John in the Bible.”
- Jason – “Get out in nature and let God talk to you. Just listen. No phone, no distractions. Develop your muscle for prayer. God will speak.”
- Charles – “Honestly, the fact you’re asking this question is huge. If you go looking for God, you will find him.”
“If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.” – Jeremiah 29:13
