O Come to the Altar

“For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die – but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:7-8

Elevation Worship’s song, “O Come to the Altar,” is call to each of our hearts to respond to God’s incredible grace. Though none of us deserve it, He offers us a chance to have a relationship with Him. We no longer have to carry the burden of sin and death!

Read these lyrics below, and take hold of the joy that they offer. You can also check out Elevation Worship’s live music video for “O Come to the Altar” below.

“Are you hurting and broken within
Overwhelmed by the weight of your sin
Jesus is calling
Have you come to the end of yourself
Do you thirst for a drink from the well
Jesus is calling

O come to the altar
The Father’s arms are open wide
Forgiveness was bought with
The precious blood of Jesus Christ”
